MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547079743 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Aug. 22, for 'orthogonalization of a compressed channel state information report.'

Inventor(s) include Wang, Runxin; Wang, Renqiu; Ibrahim, Abdelrahman Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed; Vitthaladevuni, Pavan Kumar; Sundararajan, Jay Kumar; and Yoo, Taesang.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive one or more channel state information (CSI)-reference signals (RSs). The UE may transmit a compressed CSI report that comprises an indication of a plurality of channel metrics, an indication of a channel metric of the plurality of channel metrics comprising a compressed output of a machine learning model having an input as the channel metric, wherein at least one of the plurality of channel metrics is based at least in part on expected orthogonalization of the compressed CSI report at a network node. Numerous other aspects are described."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 27, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/017492.
