MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421010025 A) filed by Ladkat Rajendra Vithal, Pune, Maharashtra, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'method and device for disposal of dry waste at the societal level.'
Inventor(s) include Ladkat Rajendra Vithal.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device (100) for waste disposal functions as a combined open incinerator designed to process dry waste such as plastics, papers, and bio-disposable materials. The device comprises three compartments (1, 2, 3) arranged concentrically, each with distinct sloped bases and perforated or mesh walls for waste segregation and processing. A heating element (9), such as a gas burner or electric coil, positioned below the compartments, enables the burning or melting of waste. Melted plastic exits via a base pipe (4), while ash and residues collect in a drain pipe (7). The structure is enclosed by a dome-shaped cover (11) connected to a carbon separator (15) with metallic plates (13) for filtering carbon particles. A water sprinkler chamber (16) sprays water (22) on filtered gases to remove contaminants. The exhaust fan (19) releases clean air (25), ensuring environmentally safe operation. The device simplifies waste management and minimizes emissions."
