MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202548058457 A) filed by Kuraray Co. Ltd., Okayama, Japan, on June 18, for 'hydrogenated block copolymer, method for producing same, crumb of same, andgel composition containing hydrogenated block copolymer.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hydrogenated block copolymer comprising: a polymer block (A) comprising 90% by mass or more of a structural unit derived from an aromatic vinyl compound based on the total mass of the polymer block (A); and a polymer block (B) comprising 90% by mass or more of a structural unit derived from a conjugated diene compound based on the total mass of the polymer block (B), the 10 hydrogenated block copolymer satisfying all following conditions (1) to (3), a method for producing the same, a crumb of the same, and a gel composition. (1) a peak top molecular weight of the block copolymer is 50,000 to 300,000; (2) a content of the polymer block (A) in the hydrogenated block copolymer is 20.0 to 50.0% by mass! and 15 (3) a gel composition containing a paraffin oil as a base oil and the hydrogenated block copolymer at a mass ratio of 9:1 satisfies specific conditions."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 24, 2022, under International application No.PCT/JP2022/007471.
