MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517080896 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Aug. 26, for 'hot-dip al-zn alloy coated steel sheet and method of producing same.'
Inventor(s) include Yoshida Masahiro; Taira Shoichiro; Iwano Sumihisa; Sato Youhei; and Kanno Fumitaka.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A purpose of the present invention is to provide a molten Al-Zn-based plated steel sheet having stably excellent workability and processed part corrosion resistance. In order to achieve the above purpose, a plating film according to the present invention is characterized by containing 45-65 mass % of Al, 1.0-3.0 mass % of Si, and the balance of Zn and unavoidable impurities, wherein the content of Mg in the unavoidable impurities is less than 0.5 mass % based on the total mass of the plating film."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/040986.
