MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202548057969 A) filed by Daikin Industries, Ltd., Osaka, Japan, on June 17, for 'haloether, method for producing same, vinyl ether, and method for producing same.'

Inventor(s) include Matsumoto, Akane; Hoshiya, Naoyuki; Yamauchi, Akiyoshi; and Kishikawa, Yosuke.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an object of the present invention is to provide a 10 vinyl ether, a simple method for producing the vinyl ether, a haloether used for producing the vinyl ether, and a method for producing the vinyl ether. The object can be achieved by producing a haloether by a method comprising step 1a of allowing a compound represented by formula (1): 15 wherein Y+ represents a cation and R1 is an organic group, 20 to react, in the presence of a halogenating agent, with a compound represented by formula (2a): 25 wherein R2a and R3a each independently represent H or an alkyl group, R4a represents H, a halogen, or an organic group, and X1a represents a halogen other than F."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 09, 2022, under International application No.PCT/JP2022/010401.
