MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421010221 A) filed by Bharat Forge Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'contact pad and fabrication process thereof.'

The composite element (102) is designed to ensure a cushioning effect while maintaining a conformal contact with a part being tested. The housing element (104) is configured with a housing slot (106) to house the composite element (102). The fabrication process (200) focuses on achieving enhanced electrical conductivity and impact resistance in the contact pad (100), contributing to improved performance in MPI applications.The contact pad (100) prevents any significant electrical current drop and resists occurrence of hot spots."
